| When Jim Wells arrived in Tuscaloosa, few
knew what was ahead. Prior to his arrival, Alabama had never
had back-to-back 40-win seasons. Since his arrival, Alabama has had
40-win seasons each of the five seasons that Wells has under his
belt. In early 2000, Alabama gave Jim Wells a
contract extension which will, God willing, keep him coaching at The Joe
through at least 2002. |
